Day 15 - Sunday 10/3

Miles:74.0
Final Destination: Hopewell, VA
Nice air mattress at the Freudigs was wonderful. Got on the road early with Tony (pictured) and picked up his friend Courtney (Pictured) and we rode off into the distance. We went to Tony's church (Calvary Chapel Gloucester) which was just great. It was so nourishing being in worship again...I've missed that so much.
We Headed down to Colonial Williamsburg after that. The day was on and off showers, mostly on,so it was a damp ride. As we got to Williamsburg, it was cold and rany. Didn't get a chance to see much (pictured: In front of the governor's mansion and the oldest active church in America) but had a wonderful lunch at The Cheese House (Emma Freudig's favorite!) Tony treated us to lunch of delicious sandwiches (Thank you Tony!).
We got on the road again and road historic Route 5 which had a separate bike trail for about half of the ride, which is always nice. Stopped at Sherwood forest (pictured). Who knew that was in the US?
I have traveled over 900+ miles without a flat tire, but God bless Courtney. In our 1 day together he had 4!! Seemed like every time we stopped for a gateoade or to rest, his tire would go flat (Pictured fixing one of them). I finally lent him a tube as he ran out of them. Felt so sorry for him and he felt terrible taking so much time (Don't worry about it Courtney, it was fine!)
We arrived at our destination wet but excited to have made the 64 mile trek together (Pictured.) Thanks for the memories Tony and Courtney!
Til Tomorrow...
